Despite bad weather and high winds all attendees arrived safely at Ty Powdwr on Fri night.

Saturday morning saw battle commence, with Ben tackling some minor tree surgery and clearing debris from the access track. Dave dismantled the drying room heater and made the required repairs and then reinstated into the drying room. James and Ben installed the new` signing in’ station. John Castick and Joe performed minor repairs to the roof over above the newly installed lounge fire. All the dorms received fresh clean pillow cases and the members dorm received new pillows. The dorms were also hoovered. The gents loos received a thorough clean and the blocked urinal was unblocked. All the windows were cleaned inside and most were cleaned outside too.

Offending pot holes in the access track between the hut and the Padarn gate were filled with gravel.

Ian McCallam provided his usual high standard of lunch.

Sunday morning saw the arrival of snow and even higher winds. Ben, Dave and Joe opted for a walk around Llyn Padarn, Steve and James attempted a walk from Llanberis to Moel Eilio via Foel Goch. However, at reaching the col to turn North towards Foel Goch they were greeted with steady 50mph winds gusting 70mph. They managed approx. 40m before being blown over, at this point going on seamed futile so, they beat a retreat to Llanberis.
