Saturday 22nd

We all set off together from Patterdale to Grisedale Hause via Side Farm.  When we reached the Hause the weather had already set in for the day - so Midge and John peeled off for a lower level route whilst the rest of the group headed on to Angle Tarn with a view to getting up onto High Street or thereabouts.  However on reaching Satura Crag we could see what the wind would be like across the top - it was about turn.  We now tracked up onto the Angle Tarn Pikes and then north along the ridge to Beda Fell and Beda Head.

After dropping down to Martindale we did a circuit of Hallin Fell then headed south along Ullswater back to Patterdale.  We even found a tea shop open on the way.  So we made the most of a wild day

Sunday 23rd

Sunday dawned (sort of) with the weather wetter.

James went for a run and the headed back to Manchester.

Undaunted Dave, Stuart and Andy carried out a tour of inspection of the Glenridding flood damage via Greenside and the Hole in the Wall.

Midge and Graham headed up Arnside Knott in drizzle as Graham needed the tick as he wants to complete his Wainwrights this year.

John read his book, I attended to my hut clean up chores and drank tea.
