Saturday morning saw most of the the assembled KMC and guests head off for a day on the hills. Big routes and big walks were the order of the day, despite the chilly weather and wind on the tops. The group climbing, unusually for the KMC slimmed down to a single car with only two racks and three ropes; then headed for Atlantic slabs for 6 pitches of glorious grippy slab climbing. Jo, one of the guests, experienced her first multi pitch route and Welsh rock. Meanwhile a team led by Bob Kelly caught the bus to Capel Curig and walked right back to the hut over the tops of Glyder Fach, Glyder Fawr, Y Garn and Elider Fawr.

The evening event saw meaty and veggie Haggis, with all the trimmings and desert for 22! Everyone pitched in either cooking, washing or cleaning up which really helped the evening go smoothly. Finally the KMC and guest moved through to the living room for the whisky tasting; working through two Scottish, a Welsh, an Irish and an English whisky. These were accompanied by films from Helmet of Doom productions (also available on Vimeo) as well as slide shows from Dan's trips to Yosemite and Greenland. Finally the evening finished with the Ealing Studio's classic Whisky Galore and birthday boy Jim's Del Boy impression.

Sunday saw some wet weather and some heads that were in need of nursing, I needn't go into any detail.
