News of old Club members - Geoff Hallawell

By Iain McCallum

In March Geoff’s daughter, Ms. Seona Reilly, advised us that sadly her father Geoff Hallawell had a passed away aged 95.

Geoff was a member of the Club from 1945 to 1982. He was a contemporary of Plum Worrall and Len Stubbs – both founder members, Derek Seddon, Pat Holt, Boden and Millie Black. Geoff earned his living as a free lance photographer and for a time he was closely associated with Donald Campbell’s attempts on the water speed records on Coniston Water. At 95 Geoff must be about the oldest ex-member of the Club.

Iain McCallum.

(I did not know Geoff very well so I cannot provide much information about him).
