Judith Symon

By Mark Garrod

Judith, who was a member for 20 years, passed away peacefully on March 5th, after a long battle against her terminal illness. Her funeral was held on March 17th, and was well attended by around 90 family and friends, amongst them many KMC members. A collection of £700 was made for the Willow Wood Hospice in Ashton-U-Lyne, where Judith received a lot of support, and spent her last hours.

Jim wrote a eulogy for Judith, which was read out at her funeral, and it is reproduced here at the request of a number of members who attended, and with Jim’s permission.

Jim is now planning to do the Welsh 3’s midweek sometime in the 2nd week of June, with Judith’s brother-in-law Steve, for charity in Judith’s memory. If you fancy supporting them in any way, or simply donating, contact Jim directly.
