Birchen Edge is just off the A619 Baslow to Chesterfield road, on the left after the Robin Hood pub and Golf club (free car park).

The edge faces west and as it has little drainage is fast drying and not that green, there are lots of low grade routes for all to climb.

My plan is to escape the nutters and noise of N Manchester and camp out on the Saturday night at the near by Eric Byne campsite, and be at Stoker's Wall section of the edge at about 10am.
