Yorkshire Climbing
This year I have decided to visit Pule Hill near Marsden in West Yorkshire (yes, this is in Yorkshire even though it appears in Lancashire Rock). Having not rope climbed since injuring my wrist well over a year ago, I feel an easy introduction back to trad was needed. With its unusually high concentration of good VS routes, it's an excellent location, good rock with very little signs of polish and with easy access from A62, Pule Hill felt like the perfect choice.
I am planning on heading to the right-hand side of the natural edge for around 10:30, starting off on some easier ground around apse wall and ladder ridge, and then moving leftwards as the day progresses.
This crag has routes ranging from Mod to E3 so will be an excellent crag for all abilities. Just a quick note that this is a pretty windy crag, even on hot days (if they even happen any more this year). Hope to see lots of new and old faces there.
