Meet at Lever Park Visitor Centre car park (Horwich) at 09:15 for a 09:30 start. The car park map reference is SD634128 - this is at the south end of Lower Rivington Reservoir, opposite Rivington & Blackrod High School. Use map OS Explorer 1:25,000 sheet 287 (West Pennine Moors - Blackburn etc), alternatively OS Landranger 1:50,000 sheet 109 (Manchester).

The walk will be around Lever Park, Rivington Moor and Anglezarke Moor - total distance will depend on conditions of weather and ground underfoot and inclination of participants.

The walk may also take in Anglezarke Quarry, Stronstey Bank Quarry and Lester Mill Quarry if anyone would like to sneak in a climb (all available in the Lancashire Rock guide).
