Harper Hill

Emily Pitts

Harper Hill is an impressive limestone quarry near Buxton and is an extensive climbing venue. The devleopement of this crag means that there are both trad and sports routes here, however, the number of sport routes are well in excess. The crag has good routes through the grades, and the convience of botled belays mean it is easy to climb lots in an evening. I details can be found here:

The crag is an old quarry and there remains some loose rock here. A helmet is highly advised. The meet will begin around 6pm but it is normal for many to arrive earlier. Please park consideratly when you arrive and don't block the quarry gate. Please bring a warm layer because it can be windy here, and remember your bug spray in case it isn't! Thanks guys, see you all at the crag.
