Meet Promo:
Running Hill Pits are wonderful selection of quarried gritstone crags above the popular village of Uppermill. They are short in stature a but contain a small and beefy selection of good routes that climb with sporty feel. The rock quality is very good, and there are pleanty of stakes about making belays a breeze. Lots can be done here quickly! Perfect for a evening jaunt. Details can be found here:

We'll aim to meet a 6pm but it is usual for may to arrive earlier. The crag points SW and catches the evening sun, but despite being on top of the hill, the sunken quarries can be sheltered. Please bring some midge cream. A headtorch and warm layer might be useful with the evenings getting shorter. The parking is limited here so please park considerately. Also, there's a really good pub just down the hill from The Pits. A few pounds for a pint afterwards is an essential piece a kit...See you all there (and hopefully the crag too).
