Wild Moorland Swimming

Emily Thompson

Join me for wild swimming!

We will meet at Brunclough car park above Diggle on the A62. (SE017094) at 10am.

From here we will walk along the Pennine Way for 2km to Black Moss reservoir and Marsden Beach.

The beach extends into the reservoir for some way making it a shallow swim. Being in the top of the moors this can often be a cold swim so a wet suit is advised unless you are hardy!

Kit to bring:

Wet suit or swim kit - skinny dipping not advised!

Fluffy towel

Tow float if you have one

Hot drink in a flask for afterwards

If the weather is too windy we will opt for plan B and head to Sparth Reservoir in Marsden. This is a popular wild swimming spot so best avoided in nice weather but generally quiet otherwise.

As per all meets you MUST get in contact first to be able to join. Either call me or click the add me button and I will confirm your place. The meet is limited to 6people.
