New Year, A new start? - Peak District walk

Andy Stratford

Let's face it, 2021 can't start without a dose of relentless optimism that we can actually have a meet, can it? In that vein, I'd like to invite all members to consider how we move beyond this pandemic and start to think about how the KMC and it's members can act both socially AND responsibly by holding outdoor meets, whilst following both national and local government guidelines and those set by our governing body, the BMC; guidelines which have been approved by Sport England.

As SAGE said earlier in the year, near to the start of the pandemic:

“Citizens should be treated as rational actors, capable of taking decisions for themselves and managing personal risk.”

It goes without saying that this meet will almost certainly be subject to some form of restrictions but exactly what we don't yet know.....

Keep an eye on this page, on scribble and on any email from our secretary.

All I can say for now is that it will be ''local...ish'' to Manchester / Peak District.

More details to follow in a few weeks when the situation may have become clearer.....
