Due to current circumstances we have decided to replace the President Hotpot meet with this walking meet. We intend, conditions allowing, to run the Presidents Hotpoint around the usual date next April so more time to collect those marvellous images for the next KMC photo competition,

Start     Bowden Bridge, Hayfield. (SK0485 8692) Lots of free parking on the road and a small pay and display carpark. It is a popular start location and can get busy. Meet at 10.00am.

Route     Several route options planned so no excuses not to get out and enjoy the delights of the Kinder area.
A short walk is planned for those short of time or want to keep the miles down (7km & 220m of ascent). A circular walk of kinder reservoir sharing the first 2.5km of the longer route enabling all to have a catch up.

The longer route on offer will see you gaining the Kinder plateau via Sandy Heys, carry on round to the downfall and on to Kinder Low. From Kinder Low the current plan is to carry on to Edale Cross and then on towards Brown Knowl before making our way towards South Head and on to Mount Famine and dropping down back towards Bowden bridge. This yields a walk of circa 16Km with around 600m of ascent.

There are various ways to adjust the distance if the walk is too long or short, just let me know if you want to do all or part of the walk.

It would be great to see lots of faces out on the hill reconnecting with your KMC pals, hopefully see lots of you there for what will hopefully be a sociable walk.
