Dry Tooling at Masson Lees
CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST / PRESENCE OF GOOD WINTER CONDITIONS
Happy New Year!
Join us at the UK's Premier Dry-Tooling Venue to try out the dark art of tooling. Whether you're already a convert to tooling, an established winter climber wanting to try-out your spiky climbing gear before the Club's Winter and Alpine trips, or completly new to climbing on tools, all abilities and experience levels are welcome
If it's dry we'll head up to the new Rock-Star Wall (Grades D4-D8), Otherwise we'll head to the permadry routes in the main Cave (D2-D12).
Gear-wise: Bring tooling gear If you have it: Monopoints with B3s, and technical axes are the order of the day, If you don't have technical tools or footwear, give me a shout, and we'll see if anyone has some you can borrow. Otherwise, bring your sport climbing gear, Due to the loose rock, and falling axes, HELMETS ARE A MUSTfor everyone even if you don't plan to climb.
As parking continues to be a source of frustation at the crag, please park considerately as per the BMC RAD and car share if you can.
Meeting times are:
09:30 at Whaley Bridge Tesco if you'd like to lift share (SK23 7PD, we'll be parked near the petro station entrance)
10:30 at the Crag (See the UKC webpage for Crag details)
