Imagine this time last year, in more precedented times, when the biggest concern I had was which bottles of whisky to buy for the 8th annual KMC Burns’ Night meet.  This year is very different.  There is not much certainty that the KMC will be able to support large meets at the hut in the foreseeable future.  

There is, however, hope, for the 9th annual KMC Burns’ Night meet.

If there is sufficient interest, I will run the first ever VIRTUAL KMC BURNS’ NIGHT meet on Saturday 30th January 2021.  This will involve the same multimedia entertainment and whisky-tasting as usual but obviously no Burns’ supper due to practical reasons!

The approximate cost will be £18 per head, assuming I can get 20 attendees.  This will cover the cost of 6 drams in small sample bottles.  I’m assuming people will collect the samples from me in advance as posting them will be tricky and expensive.

In order to make this work I need people to commit to attending in advance and (crucially) pay in advance as I will have to purchase additional materials this year!  If you want to attend the please e-mail whisky@karabiner.org and let me know by the 30th November 2020.  This is a hard deadline as I will need to start making purchases and distributing the whisky in good time.
