Traditional Peak Climbing
Traditional Peak Climbing, Saturday 10 July
I've moved this meet to Saturday to give ourselves a better chance of getting some good weather. If it is wet on the Saturday, I will offer the meet on the Sunday instead.
This meet will take place at Burbage North. There is free parking at Upper Burbage Bridge (SK262830), but be warned, this fills up quickly. I’ll be at the top (north end) of the crag (Triangle Buttress) from 9.30am. As the day progresses, we will move further right (south-eastwards) along the crag.
Classic climbs include: Ash Tree Wall (HVD), Overhanging Buttress Direct (S 4a), Mutiny Crack (HS 4b), Amazon Crack (VS 4b), Knights’ Move (HVS 5a), Long Tall Sally (E1 5b) and plenty more harder still (if that’s your thing).
Come and enjoy a glorious day of traditional Peak climbing!
Last minute updates will be made via Scribble.
Due to Covid restrictions many meets have been cancelled and remaining meets are members only. Please check back after the restrictions are lifted.
Different meets require varying levels of experience and fitness. Please speak to the meet organiser before the meet if you are concerned about any issues with regard to the meet or your ability to participate in the activities proposed. Contact details can be found on the Contact Us page.
If you are considering coming along to a club meet, please read the following:
"I accept that mountaineering, climbing and walking are activities with a risk of personal injury or death. I am aware of and shall accept these risks and wish to participate in these activities voluntarily and shall be responsible for my own actions and involvement."
