The KMC Annual Fell Race

This year’s annual fell race will be held in the Dove Stone Reservoir area.

We will be following the usual format for the race, with walkers setting off at 10.30am and the runners at 11am. All runners / walkers will be given a map of the area and we will give you the grid reference for each checkpoint for you to mark them on you map. 

The route starts and finishes from the car park below the Dove Stone Reservoir Dam (Bank Lane, Oldham, OL3 7NE; SE 01337 03468). The route will be approximately 12 miles; those daring to take a more direct route could shorten it, and those who get lost could lengthen it. You will require the ability to navigate, or to at least follow someone who can.

As always trophies are awarded for 4 categories - the fastest person, the fastest lady, the lottery that is the handicap and best first time effort by a club member.

We will provide refreshments after the race (soup, cake and drinks) but feel free to bring your own picnic. Please bring your own bowl, mug and utensils.
