Come and spend a weekend climbing in the best valley in the Lake District!*

We will be heading to the FRCC hut ‘The Salving House’ https://www.frcc.co.uk/huts/salving-house/located in the simply lovely Borrowdale valley in the small village of Rosthwaite. 7 male and 5 female beds have been reserved for KMC on the Friday and Saturday night. 

Borrowdale needs little introduction really and there is no shortage of climbing crags in the area. You have the classics such as Shepherds Crag, Black Crag, Eagle Crag, Gillercombe Buttress, to name a few. Routes of all grades to keep you content for many an hour. Walking from the hut can take you to some of the finest tops. The Scafells, Great Gable, Dale Head, Glaramara and many more for those longer mountain crag routes. If it’s wet the walks from the hut are endless, alternatively you can venture into Keswick and visit the pencil museum, or catch the boat over to Lingholm to pet some Llamas and visit the cafe (which is really quite good). 

Cost is £14 per night so £28 in total which I will co-ordinate nearer the time. I’ll also set up a WhatsApp group. 

Due to limited spaces this meet is only open to full members initially. I will open it up to associate members nearer the time if the meet isn’t full.
