Raeburn Hut winter meet: 28 February - 2^nd March 2019

Introduction

For 3 nights in peak winter season of 2019, the KMC have booked 10 spaces in the Scottish Mountaineering Club hut, Raeburn. The hut resides between Dalwhinne and Laggan near to the road, and is well know for being a comfortable and homly place to spend winter evnings with a dram in good company. A short distance to the north of the hut are the  Monadh Liath Mountains where there exists an adundance of winter walking and exploration. To the east lie the Cairngorm Mountains where great walks, climbs and skiing too, are all possible within a short drive from the Raeburn. To the south east of the hut is the excellant winter climbing of Creag Meagaidh, a venue well known for its abundance of high quality winter routes. 

The winter in Scotland is a special time and the pre-booking of huts allows KMC members to explore and enjoy this time in the company of good partners and friends. I hope you will all consider taking the opportunity join us at the Raeburn hut this winter and explore what the hut has to offer the winter mountaineer, and to have a good merry time of course. • The KMC has booked the Raeburn for 10 people at £15pppn. The hut is very comfortable and is local to all amenities. Please see:  https://www.smc.org.uk/huts/raeburn
• Due to the limited number of bed spaces, priority will be given to full and associate members until January 2019, then be opened to guests on a case by case basis.
• Participants are required to pay in advance of the meet. Since the hut is pre-booked, once participants have confirmed the attendance no refund can be given upon cancellation unless their space is filled.
