Yorkshire Bouldering

Daniel O'Brien

When reviewing old Yorkshire Bouldering meets to see where to go for this year, one crag stuck out by virtue of, somehow, not yet being on my list.  It is time this gets fixed.

Consequently, this years trip to Yorkshire will take the KMC to Ilkley Moor. Don your hat (as it would be disastrous to be caught out there without it*) and come along to sample some fine quarried and natural gritstone.

There is something fro everyone with the crag sporting both natural grit and quarried grit and everything from V0 to V-Silly and loads of trad climbing for anyone not cool enough to join in the bouldering.  There is a car-park about 100m from the rocks and a pub about the same distance for when everyone is too cold and tired to carry on.

I’ll be there from 10.30 and plan to follow my nose as I've never climbed here before so it doesn't matter!
