Cancelled-Evening meet: Horseshoe Quarry

Horseshoe Quarry

Horseshoe quarry is a BMC owned limestone quarry near historic village of Stoney Middleton in the Peak District. The quarry is mostly sport climbing in the low to mid range, and possess some really good outings up to 23m in length. It is well maintained by the BMC and is sheltered and warm. The approach takes only a few minutes and lots can be done here in an evening. Details can be found here:

We will aim to meet at 6pm although it is likely that people will arrive earlier. There is only parking for 12 cars at the quarry so please park responsibly. Please bring some midge cream, a warm layer and a head torch. Please also bring a helmet; while the quarry is well maintained the risk of falling rock cannot be eliminated! I plan on having pint at The Moon in Stoney afterwards. Maybe some tea too... See you at the crag everyone.
