Peak Mountain Biking: Marple to Macclesfield

Meet at 10am at Ridge Quarry Car Park on Marple Ridge.  The route heads from Marple over the hills to Macclesfield and back along the Middlewood way.  

We will head down and follow the Peak Forrest Canal to Disley, then cycle up Green Lane to join Mudhurst Lane skirting round the back of Lyme.  We will get onto the Gritstone Trail for a short while before enjoying some fantastic downhills towards Birchencliffe Cottages on the Lyme estate.  From here there is a bit of road biking into Bollington to find some nice off road routes near Kerridge Ridge where White Nancy stands.  Some more road biking to the top of Macc Forrest and then some fantastic downhill cutting down near Teggs nose and into Langley.  Then back to Marple along the Macclesfield canal briefly before getting onto the wider Middlewood way.
