Chew Valley Gritstone

Liam Brady

Rather than meeting a group in the valley I think it might be better to arrange to meet folk at Wimberry Rocks at say 10am on 9th May to start the day (route 1 put up in 1937 will be a great start to the day) with a view to walking across to Robs Rocks followed by Dove Stones - I went climbing last Sat and I found it desperate and I’m still aching after just a few routes.

As we will all be very rusty I suggest we limit our ambitions to these 3 wonderful crags (couple of routes on each will be more than enough for me)......I will fetch along some cake (enough to encourage Colin and 2 cakes Jim to attend).

If the weather is poor we will go for a nice ramble, the climbing/walking will be secondary to socialising with old friends.
