Evening meet: Frogsmouth Quarry

BOOKING: Required/Recommended.

Frogsmouth Quarry

Little known to the Manchester climbing fraternity, is the sport climbing cliff, Frogsmouth Quarry. The sandstone outcrop is in Runcorn, and was once a very scary trad venue. Today it is a very well bolted and enjoyable outing. Routes vary from f5 to f8a+ with the majority being in the 5 and 6's . The first four walls are well concentrated with good ammenable routes, and a lot can be done here quickly. The crag point south and is sheltered; it can be hot in the sun, but there are areas of respite in the trees. The crag is approched down hill, and the walking takes minutes. It's a really nice place to hang out, climb and get fit for summer. Details can be found here:

The meet will start at 6pm, but is normal for some to arrive early. Any questions please let me know. I look forward to seeing everyone there. Thanks.
