When : Sunday 29th May
Time : Meeting at 9:45am for 10am start
Meeting : Torside Reservior Car Park, B6105, Glossop, SK13 1JF (Pay & Display)
Distance : 10.67 miles / 17.2 km
Total Elevation : 1640 ft / 500 m
Pace : Social / Conversational (no runner left behind)
Terrain : Mixed - Mainly rocky hard-packed with some muddy moorland trails
Difficulty : Moderate
Kit : Suitable running kit (waterproof may be required), trail shoes are highly recommended, food & water

Starting out along the Longdendale trail, we soon pick up the Pennine way to cross Torside reservoir dam and the main woodhead road. We don't follow the Pennine way for long before heading uphill onto the edge of featherbed moss, overlooking the woodhead pass and the reservoirs below. We'll follow the edge west for while, above the old quarry and plantation and mostly downhill. We'll descend off Tintwistle Low Moor to the road. Crossing the road we come back to Bottoms reservoir, and follow the north-bank path back to Torside damn, retracing our steps for the last section back to the car park.

The route is a mix of hard-packed paths, a little gravel, tarmac, and cobbles, but mostly moorland trails of grassy peat.
