Castle Naze

Castle Naze

A KMC classic. Castle Naze rests above village of Combs in the western Peak District. It is a wonderful crag of great character. Warm and approached quickly, it has a range of routes of amenable grades and is a great place to lead easier routes. Details can be found here:

From Manchester Castle Naze is normally approached by road through Whaley Bridge and Combs, followed by a 2 min walk up the hill to the rock. Parking is limited so please be considerate and make an attempt to car share if you can. We'll be there from 5pm, but its normal for people to be there much earlier. Bring a warm layer as it can get windy. Updates mostly via WhatsApp or the website.

It promises to be a fine evening with the easterly breeze off the top of the crag, leaving the face mostly sheltered. So hopefully it will feel warmer than it is forecast.
