Millstone Edge has to be the king of quarried grit. Home to stunning lines of hard test pieces such The Master’s Edge (E7) and London Wall (E5), and sitting proudly above Hathersage commanding views over the Hope Valley it is spectacular in both appearance and position.

In spite of an intimidating reputation there are still 25 routes in the Difficult to Severe range at Millstone providing something for everyone. That said, it has to be acknowledged that Millstone has an amazing concentration of choice lines in the VS to E1 (and harder) range with stand out three star routes such as The Mall (VS), Great North Road (HVS), Bond Street (HVS), Great Portland Street (HVS) and Embankment 3 (E1).

Parking is at the pay and display Surprise View car park from where a short walk leads to the quarry.
