The summer months are approaching! To prepare, the KMC have arranged some training for the members: Intermediate Rock Climbing. Intermediate Rock Climbing is a 2 day course that teaches the skills needed to operate competently as a second climber that follows a lead climber, outdoors on real rock. The course content includes:
Rock protection – placement and removal
Rigging for top and bottom rope climbing
Personal abseiling
Lead belaying
Seconding a lead climber
Descending from routes safely
Guidebooks and grading systems
Crag etiquette
Environment and conservation
