Robs Rocks

Rain is awesome...unless you want to go climbing, or live in Whalley Bridge!! So much rain fell on Wednesday evening that Todbrook reservoir overflowed and cracked, creating a fairly serious issue for the Whalley community! The KMC midweekers were scattered this evening. Some went to Rockover, some to MCC, some did some other things. I made a nice cheese and onion pie and had it with chips. It was good...

Dovestones next week! Lets hope for nicer weather. See you all there guys.

Meet Promo:

Robs Rocks are a little gem in Chew Valley catchment. Hidden up in the Upper Wilderness valley and tucked neatly out of view, the rocks are short but stout, and offer and small number of well rounded routes at ammenable grades. Plenty for an evening. The location is wild and exposed, and the sunsets briliant as they silhouette the Chew valley looking down the Upper Wilderness. Great for action photos (and the presidents hotpot). Details can be found here:

The meet will start around 6pm but it is common for many to arrive earlier. The parking for Robs Rocks is at Dovestones reservoir and costs 60p. This is very cheap, but will cost a lot more should you fail to remember some change. The walk in is up Chew Road within the Upper Wilderness Valley towards Chew Reservoir. Robs Rocks are near the top. Please bring a midge repellant, a warm layer, and a head torch just in case. See you at the crag.
